A Nesting Tale
Hey, young Storyteller! Today, you'll step into the feathery world of birds and imagine the incredible story of a bird building its nest. Are you ready to take flight into an amazing bird-building adventure?
What You'll Need:
- Curiosity and Imagination
- Nature Journal, and pencils
- Braille slate and stylus
- (Tactile) drawing paper
- Favorite drawing tools
- Tactile materials (like paper, twine, pipe cleaners, feathers, or cotton balls)
- Internet access for research
- Screen reader (if available)
- Optional: family member or friend to assist
Instructions:
Step 1. Choose Your Bird Buddy:

You have done your research and switched on your imagination. Now, it's time to tell your bird nesting story. Write or draw a picture that tells us how it builds its nest. Use your observations to craft your tale. Be as imaginative as you want!

Use your imagination and experiment with available household items to build a cozy bird's nest for your bird buddy. Forage around your home and see what you can find, for example, paper, twine, or even bits of plastic!
